Pharmacy cannot fill my scripts regularly after 3rs

I have taking pain meds for 3 yrs after a cancer surgery. The pain doctors

Give you exactly 30 days worth. Which still doesn't come close to relieve the pain.

Since there is no leeway I depend on the pharmacy to have them when they're due.

I always give them the scrips one or two weeks in advance..4 times the pharmacist

Promised me fentynal or oxcys on a certain day 4 times in one year. The last time it was the manager that jumped on the phone and let me have it . She blamed the whole thing on me. The other odd thing I've been getting the same meds for one year . Everytime they look at the script they say they have to order like they have to manufacturer it. No script on fri or sat means I have to wait 3 to 4 days without.

Medication. So I do become upset as they look at me like i am an insect. Last time the manager just stared at me as I walked by. The whole staff did. I just turned around and walked out and went to a friendly place .there easy to find.

I spent over $6000.00 out of pocket last year to Wegmans. Never again.

So tell you pharmacist keep up the good work. They will have a lot less work soon

Ps I never did use any any bad language. Only utter frustrated language.

I'm sorry to hear what you went through and I pray your health improves to the point that you no longer need the medications. Anyone judging a person suffering from a painful medical condition or surgery should thank their lucky stars that it's not them!

Andrea Ahw

You are very uninformed and unreasonable. NO pharmacy keeps large supplies of oxys and fentanyl on hand.

Only a few fills at most any given time. Every narcotic has to be ordered and logged in a book for the DEA. NO pharmacy can or will take a narcotic scrips 'weeks' in advance.

They will ONLY accept it when it is time to fill. ANY pharmacy that does this needs to be reported to the DEA.

Also, since you didn't mention it in your post, it is possible you were trying to buy alcohol before noon on a sunday, which in NC, is illegal.

Guest

Perhaps you should call their HR department and file the complaint...

Guest

In the state of North Carolina, a military ID, NC issued State ID, or Driver's License from any state in the United States are the legal forms of ID as prescribed by the state for the purchase of alcohol and tobacco. These ID's must be current (not expired) and all information on the ID must be legible.

Furthermore, the cashier nor the store is under no legal obligation to sell to a customer the alcohol.

The cashier should not have been rude, but she obviously felt that something was wrong with the ID's being presented. After all, she is the one losing her job and going to jail if she made the sale and it was part of a sting operation.

Andrea Ahw

Who cares about what race you are? Something was wrong with your ID or the sale or she would have sold it to you. SO...what else happened?

Guest

If you don't look 30 or they feel that the ID is in any way false they don't HAVE to sell you the beer. They are targeted with pop in's from ABC and if they get caught selling to underage or NOT checking ID's then they get in trouble.

Not defending just explaining.

E-Vic Saturday specials

Received my e-vic email like usual on Friday, looked at it on Saturday - a typical day for me. eggs, meat balls, toilet paper, tuna fish were in my email. Great, I am off to HT to make my purchases. I go to pay for my meat balls ($1.97), tuna fish ($.77) and eggs. They would not honor my meat balls and tuna fish e-vic prices because "those items were not on my receipt for e-vic specials". I told them it was in my email. They explained that the email is a mass send out to everyone, but not everyone is entitled to those specials. I asked how do you know what you are allowed to purchase at the e-vic price. They told me that I have to check my receipt before I shop. Does that make sense to you? It certainly does not to me. I have to bother a sales clerk or someone at the customer service counter first before I can shop? I have been a HT customer since 1993 when we moved to Charlotte, and I have spent A LOT of money at your stores for almost 20 years. I have received lots of gifts from you - crock pots, garden tool set, coolers, oven roasters, etc. This is the first time that I have been truely disappointed with my shopping trip. Management did not even over ride the system to make me happy. Wal-mart is looking better every day.131

Yup. You REALLY sound like you spend "aLOT of money" at HT.

Lol - $1.97 on meatballs, $.77 on tuna and some eggs (probably around $2). Wow. A whopping $5 almost. I'm sure that we are REALLY going to miss your business.

Lol.

That's very strange. I work as a cashier at the one in Kernersville,NC and when we have a problem like that we just double check and but the item at that price. Then again, that is policy...

My guess is Harris Teeter employees are checking this site and marking consumer posts as B.S., but I hope someone in your company takes note of the complaints and attempts to improve customer service. Most people aren't going to post complaints online but they do share their experiences with friends, co-workers, etc. and that does affect your bottom line.

Greensboro,NC ~manager

I have been a Harris Teeter shopper for years. I have NEVER seen a manager that is a bigger *** than David Fulp.He has a personality of a rock.

We ( the customers) should be treated with a LITTLE respect. This man acts like WE owe him something. He NEVER speaks OR smiles at ANYONE. How does he treat his employees?

I just want to know what makes him SO SPECIAL. None of the other managers in this store OR any of the other stores act this way.If I didn't like Harris Teeter and the products that I can only find there, I would shop somewhere else.

No wonder she is scheduled for the late shift as she cannot stand contact with normal human beings. Harris teeter I implore you to take action on this employee to save face as I have had similar experiences prior to this one. She has pushed me over the edge and I felt the need to take action. If I can pursue this further, someone please let me know, tell me what avenue I should adress. Thank you, Concerned consumer

I usually have a great experince there....we only have two..lately I have went to shop there and had a cart full of groceries only to get to the front of the line and ready to pay for my products only for them to tell me that they arent taking debit cards because the machine is down..now I am ver hesitant to shop there anymore. The customer service sucks and all the employees act as if they hate their job. They hadnt even posted a sign or anything...very embarassing

As someone who is a Customer Service clerk that works at Harris Teeter, I can vouch for the cashier in this scenario. We (personally) have had multiple instances where the satellites would be hazed by low lying clouds, and intermittent weather.

We would just ask the customer to please ring up their order as "Credit" even if they had Debit.

No need to be a total *** about it.

YOU are the type of customer I hate. Being completely impatient, and just annoying!

Harris Teeter constant mistakes at check out!

I am a customer at the Harris Teeter in Olney, MD. Since you opened in April 2011, I have not gone into any other grocery store in the area (except Sam's club). I have saved over $2,000 in groceries and enjoy, yes, actually enjoy coming into the store...it is relaxing and a very friendly, accomodating atmosphere;(I have even met girlfriends there to eat instead of going to a restaurant and they love it!) however in the last two weeks, there has been major problems at the check out. The first time, after I had paid, I realized something was wrong because of how much I had spent. The manage looked it over and realized my e-vic sale prices had not gone thru, even tho I had given my home number (301-774-****) and he gave me back the money. Last week, the bill seemed way to high, since I am a sale shopper and just about everything I buy is on sale and/or I have coupons for it. When I showed it to the manager, again, the sale prices (BOGOF, etc) had not been taken off. He said there was a problem and they were trying to fix it. Again, he was very nice and compensated me. But the point is I am really nervous about shopping there and not catching the mistakes. I am on a very fixed income and come to Harris Teeter because of the great quality (everything I have ever bought from your brand stuff has been fabulous!) and prices. The receipt is hard enough to understand, but now I feel I have to sit down after I have paid for everything and check it twice!! or only buy a few things at a time, which is a pain! It is not a good feeling and I am very disappointed!! What to do?

Harris Teeter employs rude people

I'm a vendor who delivers product to a Harris Teeter in Asburn,Va. The reciever at this store name Crawford.

She has been rude, obnocious, and un-professional for years.I am amazed by the lack of respect she and the store manangers at this store have for vendors and customers. The V.P. Bob Smith apparently condones this behavior.I reside in Wash.

DC and Harris Teeter is trying to make a footprint there.I am affiliated with group there and i will do everything I can to make sure this doesn't happen.Ms.Crawford should be placed some place where she doesn't have contact with people. She is horrible.

You should meet the one in apex nc! She was so rude that she was mentioned on a radio talk show!

She doesn't like vendors to even ring the door bell...And demands they stand in the rain or heat until she darn well feels like doing her job. She gives the teeter stores a very bad name overall.

Guest

Have you complained to HT? If she's been there for years, as you say, I would think others would have complained and she'd no longer be employed there, much less dealing directly with customers.

I've never had any problem at all with rude people at HT.

I find them pleasant and very helpful.

Harris Teeter allowed consumer to shop carrying gun.

Consumer allowed to shop in store with gun. Important to note consumer was older caucasian.

As if I needed to disclose that information. We all know had he been any other race he would been asked to leave the store. It's important that we are all pay close attention to how we are treated while spending our hard earned money and go to companies that respects everyone equally. Why would it be necessay for someone to shop broad daylight with a loadef gun.

I will drive the extra miles and spend my money at Food Lion or Lowes. Harris Teeter needs to listen to consumers no matter what color.

To the upset lady, if you were a victim of one of the 355 mass shootings in our country you might have a different outlook on your rights to carry and defend yourself.

Guest

Harris Teeter just let one of its shoppers use his rights as an American. What is wrong with that? I praise Harris Teeter.

Guest

People are ignorant!

Guest

FYI Food Lion allows open carry. Open carry is legal :) I open carry all the time. I won't shop at places that won't allow me to carry my firearm.

Guest

How do you know the gun was loaded? This complaint doesn't say anything about you reporting the consumer to store management with your concern that he had a gun on him.

I find it very ironic that you typed how important it is that "we all pay close attention to how we are treated while spending our hard earned money and go to companies that respects everyone equally." While listing at the top of your complaint that it was "important to note the customer was white." What does that matter? There are plenty of white people who pack that try to rob stores...just like there are plenty of other people of other races that also do that. Did the member make you feel uncomfortable? Did he approach you and pull the gun on you?

Did you report the member to customer service because of your implied/alleged uncomfortable feelings? No?? Than stop whining about this. As a United States citizen I'm allowed to carry guns when/wherever I want/that i'm allowed.

(if the states requires certification than I need to have that on me too.) But just because I carry a gun, doesn't mean anything, to include anything about my race. Perhaps you need to look up the definition of equality and stop making judgements about people treating others differently based on the color of their skin. I lived in Alaska for three years. Everywhere, everyone carries a gun.

Alaska has the LOWEST crime rate in the 50 states. Other than it not being as populated as others...it still beats crime rates in all other states.

If everyone carries a gun, no one pulls a gun on anyone else. (Just sayin')

Victorine Jxr

I saw the two women saying they would no longer shop at Harris Teeter because the store did not immediately ban guns when they complained... So I will start shopping there.

Keep your whining and paltry money, ladies. You will not be missed.

Andrea Ahw

Unless HT has a sign that prohibits legally armed citizens from entering with their firearm, there is no issue here. It is none of your business, and if you saw the firearm then your state has an OPEN CARRY law.

Would you feel better if it was in his pocket where you could not see it???

I carry mine everywhere the law allows me to.

Don't like it, don't look at it. You better be worrying more about the ones you can not see than the ones you can.

The issue important in my encounter with a gun on the hip of a customer in our local upper middle class grocery was his arrogant reaction to my dismay. He thought it was funny that I was bothered and looked back at me several times and laughed, proving that not everyone is of sufficient emotional maturity to own a gun.

Would you give your 5 year old the keys to your car just because it is legal to do so?

I respect the second amendment; my husband owns guns. My husband is also mature and knows that he doesn't need to walk around carrying his gun in our upscale neighborhood just to prove he can. I will not be comfortable with open carry until owners can be tested for emotional maturity and the comprehension of the power of the gun they own.

But that would be an infringement on your rights you say. I say we are of equal value and your need to exercise open carry is your way to you think you are more important.

Unless you are a registered law enforcement officer, I say you are insecure and the gun makes you think you are powerful. (again a sign of emotional immaturity.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Andrea Ahw

Somehow I knew Ladyscott that you carry a gun.The way you shoot your mouth off you probably need protection.

Guest

agree with employee #1

We even asked our Manager about it (different store however) and he explained it. THEN he made a very good point. THAT customer, regardless of race, that carries a gun and you can SEE the gun is the Customer you WANT to have in the store. Those that come in and you CANT see it might NOT be the ones that you want in the store. At least I know when a customer comes in with a gun - that is one less customer I have to worry about as much! He/She can protect themselves.

Besides, I am sure, there are just as many if not more, who go in to Food Lion and Lowes Foods doing the same -

DUH!!!!!!!

Harris Teeter casually ripping off consumers

I went in to pick up some ingredients to make an antipasto . I bought Palazzina Mozzarella Cheese Balls clearly marked as on sale for $4.99. When I got home and checked the receipt, they charged me $8.49, the regular price. I called them and they seemed rather nonchalant as if I were annoying them. They indicated I would have to come back to the store and bring the receipt. No real apology. I spent thousands of dollars *literally* in 2011. My vow for 2012 and on ... not to spend one red cent in Harris Teeter. This was after I cited another discrepency at the register and they indicated I was wrong and they asked me if I wanted to go back and get a different item while they're were people waiting behind me and I'm with my child. They act like a service oriented upscale store but I feel they are nothing more than common crooks trying to scam at any convenience. I'm done with Harris Teeter.

Odds are you saw a sign for something else and thought it was for the cheese. Costumers do it all the time.

And don't even bother trying to complain about us asking if you have another form of payment. If your debit card is refused (for whatever reason, not our fault. probably yours or the bank's) we HAVE to ask that because we A) don't wanna have to put all your groceries back and B) actually feel bad when you are not able to pay for your groceries.

Many people who have their debit's refused use credit or have cash. We want to see you walk out of our store with your groceries.

continuous bait and switch. done w/ HT myself as of tonight.

I have loyally shopped here for over 40 years. As the size of the company grew their respect for the consumer has diminished. I shop online, in store and as a Vic Card and eVic customer. Several times my eVic has been de-linked from my Vic card yet I still get the weekly emails and the prices are never adjusted when I point out the linked account on an old receipt.

The pharmacy closes and opens at the pharmacists convenience and I personally will not be inconvenienced again. Also I see the note below and my debit card on an account with $38,000 in it is continuously declined at check out.

Not only annoying but the manager asks if I have another form of payment as though I'm a charity case. I'll be shopping at Fresh Market or Lowes from now on.

I'm sorry, but I have worked for Harris Teeter for almost 16 years. This company has always gone out of its way to provide EXCELLENT customer service.Unfortunately, this was not the case at this particular location.PLEASE do not judge the whole company just from a bad experience at one store...

Would not do an even exchange

Purchased a E-Vic special. The store was out of the flavor I wanted, so we picked another flavor. Couple of days later store had the flavor originially wanted. Tried to do an even exchange but customer service person said they don't do exchanges for E-Vic specials. She would have to give the money back and then a new purchase would have to be done, but doing this would not have allowed for the special E-Vic price since the special price was used on the first purchase. Each store in Greensboro NC deals with their customers differently, no constant between them.

I do not like Harris Teeter they are rude and over priced!

I don't visit Harris Teeter often, the cashiers act like they are doing you a favor ringing you up, and once I was scolded for not having my vic card, the lines are long and without fail, they open a new line and take the person in line behind you, even tho you've waited longer. Last nite as the cashier scanned my purchases the manager came over, began to scrutinize making sure she'd not missed anything, which made me feel criminal, then, after paying I was sternly called back, MA'AM, MA'AM, YOU FORGOT TO SIGN YOUR RECEIPT! I apologized as both manager and cashier glared at me as if I were trying to do something illegal...I simply didnt hear her tell me to sign. Most stores I shop at dont require a signature unless it's over a certain amount. I signed the slip and apologized again saying I didn't hear her....all the while I smiled and they glared! What was up with that? I work 2 jobs....I realize I was tired, but come on, there is no reason to treat customers like that....and since it wasn't the first time, it's enough to make me never want to go in there again! I made a comment on their facebook page, they deleted it immediately! And I tried to email them on their web page, but they want all your personal info, phone, address, email, before they will even allow you to send the email! Which has made me dislike them even more! And also the reason I'm writing this now. Thanks for letting me vent!

HT has WAY better specials ,especially in produce & seafood.

Harris Teeter takes customer concerns and complaints EXTREMELY seriously. I don't believe this complaint is true or valid.

Most companies will immediately delete a complaint from their Facebook page- DUH, why would you leave negative feedback up on your company fan page??? I shop there all the time, and customer satisfaction is their number one concern, to an extent that is almost ridiculous. I left behind a bag of groceries on one occasion, and they delivered them to my home with flowers. Come on, any company that does something like that isn't just going to ignore your valid concerns.

You're a liar. And as far as those other complaints go, maybe a couple are valid, but I'm sure most of them are nasty, crotchety jerks who just CRAVE a reason to complain.

Guest

If you really are having as many problems there as you claim (which I doubt) then why keep going back genius? Someone lacks common sense.

Charis Yqs

Oh, I forgot to mention, the Harris Teeter I'm referring to is located in Ghent, Norfolk, VA

Maybe they aren't all that way...but from what I've been reading in other complaints, they definitely dont have a good reputation for customer relations!

I got sick after eating from the Asian bar.

On Saturday (1/28/12), at about 1pm I went to the Harrise Teeter in Northeast D.C.....off of NorthCapitol and belo Florida Avenue. After shopping, I decided to get something to eat from the Asian bar... I got fried rice, noodles, orange chicken and ginger chicken & veggies. When I got home, I ate it at abot 2 or 2:30.

At 8pm I started feeling nauseous. I was at an affair that was serving dinner but I did not eat... At 9 pm, I told my friend I had to leave... Once outside, I threw up quite a bit. When I got home... this happened agaon.... all through the night abotu 6 or 7 times. I had diarrea also.

Sunday morning, I stopped throwing up but the diarres continued and I could not go to my Sunday job.

On Monday, I went to the doctor.... who told me to get some Mallox. Although the severe symptoms have stopped, I have not been to work yet this week.. My ribs ache severely from the gagging, I still feel uneasy and my stomach is still a little unrestful.

I have shopped at this store on a regular basis. The cashiers are not friendly and actually throw your food on the belt I told one of the cashier's if it was to much trouble to check me out I could use the self check out. I had picked up a meat that had no expiration date and questioned one of the employees he said it should have one and walked away I put the meat back. A majority of the employees just don't care about the customers if I were the manager I would clear out most of the employees especially the teenagers working there who make believe they don't see you. I think I will be going to PUBLIX in Park West where I am treated nicer.

Harris Teeter says dont come back!

I received a letter from Harris Teeter telling me I was not welcomed in their store anymore and if I did return they would press charges for trespassing! They state the reason was because the last time I had shopped at their store one of the people in my party cursed at an employee. I am a deacon of the church and have never used foul language in the store and have not had anyone in my party do so either. I cannot believe they would treat consumers like this! For the poor judgement I am telling everyone to stay away! They have fabricated this story and made me look bad for doing so. I cant wait for Publix to open, I heard they beat Harris Teeter in costumer service and prices every day!

So you question the OP's truth telling and respond with a lie? Publix Does hire experienced folks Full Time, but Publix usually gives FT to PT associates that are already working for the company.

Give me a fax number or phone number and i will take a picture and send it to you!

I would honestly like to see that letter. I worked at Harris Teeter and we have thieves that we have caught red handed that Harris Teeter will not even ban from the store.

As far as Publix, that's a big "no" on both of those fronts.

Not to mention the fact that they don't hire full time associates therefore do not provide full time benefits to anyone. I am sorry, but
