Butcher @ Teeter in Leland, NC

I've never seen such lazy, unhelpful, don't give a *** people hired as supposed butchers at the leland store. Everything they do seems to be such a chore. They act as if talking to anyone is a favor and god forbid if what you want needs a little extra work. The way the employment market is, I'm sure there are a lot of people that would be glad to have those jobs. You need some secret shopper to stop in there and check out these so-called butchers. I'll glad when Lowes foods opens up at brunswick foret.

This is a late response but i work in customer service at the harris teeter just over the leland bridge yes its a little further but we are friendly at this store and will bend over backwards to make customers happy at any cost give us a try and see that we are good.

Thanks,

Linwood Store 162 **** Oleander dr "Across from the mall"

We are not a rep of Lowes Food nor any other competitor but we completely agree with Tommy6. His description of the Leland Harris Teeter butcher is right on.

The meat dept staff is the unfriendliest we've ever dealt with. One of the male store managers isn't the friendliest either.

Maybe there is a trikle down effect here. Can't wait for Lowes Food in Brunswick Forest to open.

Guest

Tommy6 is a rep for Lowes Foods, trying to sabotage a competitor. He is, infact, lazy, and a little retarded.

Dj gordon was rude to cashiers in front of customers.

donjinna gordon,is possibly the ruddest person i have ever came into contact with. she is rude to employyes she works with, esp in front of customers. i honestly do not know how she is a customer service manager. she picks on people she works with and talks to them as if they were born ***. she treats them with no respect. when african american people come in her attitude changes completly and when they leave she goes back to her rude self. i have been in there many of times and been talked down by her and i am sick of it. i think its time harris teeter gets a new customer service manager

Harris Teeter's Rotten "Fresh Squeezed" Orange Juice

Over the past year, I have purchased Harris Teeter's self brand of "Fresh Orange Juice" about 10 times... Enough to know that regardless of season, it reeks of rotten oranges as soon as you open the lid.

The taste is far worse than the smell. I don't understand how Harris Teeter can continuously put out a product that is this horrible. Do they not EVER taste (quality) test their products? At $2.00 for a 16 oz bottle, I'd expect a beverage that is at least consumable.

I am a healthy eater, so it's not the lack of sugar that is appalling, it's the use of rotten oranges that makes these juices un-consumable.

I tried to contact Harris Teeter by the 1-800 # provided on this page, and on the back of the juice, and was prompted to leave a message and some one would contact me. Seriously???

Bought it yesterday for the first time (Pentagon City store). Impressively fresh and absolutely delicious.

And no, I don't work for them.

BTW, used it for screwdrivers. Yum.

Guest

HT does inspect their oranges, people sure do buy a *** of alot of HT orange juice, maybe its just your breath your smelling? Nothing wrong with the juice.

Guest

It took three times? Three times?!

Really, so did you get your question out yet? ***.

Angie W Emi

I did, genious... *** and get a life. :grin

Hey, genius, they want you to leave a message with your info so they can contact you back and probably fix the issue. Seriously.

Rotten Seafood

This is my second time going to Harris Teeter and getting rotten seafood time you walk in the door you can smell the seafood its not fresh at all which explains there double money back guarantee.Think the board of health needs to get involved! Instead of throwing the rotten food away they mark it down as a "weekly special" then when you buy it its spoiled someone can seriously get ill from eating spoiled seafood is not the quality I was expecting from a place like Harris Teeter. Will never buy from there again BEWARE!To say its such a well kept store u wouldnt think they would sell something like that.

Harris Teeter Bayside in Fenwick Island Delaware is where I shop.

Just came from Harris Teeter's Bayside store in Delaware.

The trash outside the front door of the store is such an eye sore. Makes me wonder how clean it is behind the scenes if this is how you present yourselves.

The carts had trash in them, too. Is it that difficult to have an employee remove trash from carts? Very disgusting. You are truly headed the way of Food Lion, which is nasty, nasty, nasty.

The community was happy when Harris Teeter opened its doors. So clean, so friendly, so helpful. Now you blend in with the other riff-raff.

U people are bunch of prissy *** who have nothing better to do grow up and get a life the store is very clean and great service

Guest

HT has once again jacked up their prices for the tourist season. This is shameful! especially to the locals who shop there all year long.

Guest

How could they be "DRAINING BLOOD" from a cooked chicken. also has it ever occurred to you that the drains in floor have grease traps?

Really you need to be more clear. where would you put chicken blood? And to be honest the people in your community are the ones that won't take their own trash from the buggies.

I've seen people clean out their cars and put trash in the buggies. Everyone wants someone else to clean up their mess.

Guest

Ive seen them drain the chicken blood from the rotisderie into the drain in the floor

Guest

They always use the carts to take the trash out!!!!!!!

Now selling half and half that isn't really what it says, Why

I have been shopping at Harris Teeter since I moved to Charloltte 27 years ago. You have now taken your brand of Half and Half in the blue container which is a true 1/2 & 1/2 and changed packaging to the maroon container which is NOT 1/2 & 1/2. Is this your idea? Is it less expensive to give the customer 1/2 cream as advertised or is it the government trying to tell us once again what they want us to eat, not what we want to eat? I have tried the new brand and it isn't close. Thank you for listening to my complaint.

Harris Teeter Manager store policy

I returned produce to the harris teeter monroe nc.I was told they wouldnt refund the item,i didnt have a receipt, i had called the store and was told to bring back the merchandise.I than offered my phone number but was told valid ID in this case would be a VIC card.I was in that store approximately thirty minutes while they argued about $3.78.I was finally (given) the option of choosing another item,it was also unripe.I drove and back and was told by the manager "maybe you should choose something else, maybe some banana's, I am african american woman.... Avoid this store.

You are reading so far into it that they would be racist about it? Also, if you don't have a receipt, we don't know if you actually got the item or if you are trying to scam us.

Guest

My Husband is African american and he likes bananas....so I don't see the issue

I believe she was referring to the term "monkey" in which Blacks or African Americans were called. So your husband being African American and the fact that he likes bananas is not a valid point.

HT store 0068 concord NC Over charges

Got ripped off and over paid on a buy 2 get 3 free. Told them there was no signage limiting the amount and the managers said it was posted in the store circular that there was a limit of 10. My guess is 70% or more don't read the store circulars !

They ripped me off by over charging and not discounting what the price tag said at the shelf!

Don't trust or shop these jerks !!! They over charge, and fail to proper discount their own advertised prices !

*** Harris Teeter !! I and many others refuse to let you over charge us !

You are actually an ***. Ok.

On the sign, it says buy 2 get 3 and it tells you that you *save* a certain amount like $12.70.

Not how much you pay. Also, you only get it for free if the system rings it up wrong, not if you were too *** to realize that there is a limit on the number of deals you can get.

Guest

Shauna, guess you were never invited to a party! Poor you with no friends and never at a place with lots of stuff! ......go back to sitting alone and being dumb

Guest

Anonymous can kiss my ***- just like HT! *** if you don't realize HT makes the price, not the soda companies.....

*** to not notice price all over the place and always the highest when 2 for 1 etc...... I'm venting, your an ***!

Guest

The HT in Raleigh charged me $19 bucks for 5 12 packs of coke. Only problem is they said that 5 were $12.70 or so on their sign. The receipt reflects a price change and reduction, but it appears they are ripping everyone or at least me off on this 5 12 pack deal.

Guest

There's always a limit on sales like that. The computer charges it automatically, the employees aren't ripping you off.

And no, 70% (or more) of customers DO read the circulars or at least ask about limits before they go crying. Try reading.

Guest

First, no there is no mark up before a sale like that on Harris Teeter's part. If there is a mark up on soda it is the soda company.

Secondly, if something rings up wrong(different than on the tag)TAKE IT BACK! YOU GET IT FOR FREE....

Guest

Guess *** didn't know they mark it way up before they do a sale like that !

Guest

Guess *** didn't know they mark it way up before they do a sale like that !

Guest

How many packs of soda were you trying to buy? I would LOVE to see what your insides look like.

By 2 get 3 free sounds like a *** of a deal to me..

Even with a limit of ten... That's 120 cans of soda for the price of 48.

Breakfast sandwiches

I went to the Olney Harris Teeter at 7:24 a.m. this mornig (Tuesdy) to get a breakfast sandwich; I do this two to three times a week. There are numberous places I could get breakfast sandwiches a few without getting out ot the car, but I enjoy going into Harris Teeter.

I was throughly annoyed that there were not any sandwiches and the girl told me she was running late but it would only take two minutes, then when I came back she said it would take five minutes for the oven to heat up. I could not wait because I had to get to work..I was so mad!!

Rotten Potatoes

I wish I had the receipt so that I could furnish you the dates and exact prices, or product name, but perhaps you can figure it all out.

A few weeks ago your High Point store had a special on 10 lb bag of potatoes at something like $3.69 for 10 lbs. I immediately found a smelly rotten potatoes in the bag. I returned the bad to the store where they cheerfully refunded my money.

A week later a bought a second bag (same brand), and within 4 days, with proper storage, they too were rotten.

I am not looking for a refund, nor am I pissed at HT, but as a good customer I'd just suggest you have a talk with the vendor...he's sticking it to you...and us.

Harris Teeter gave my job application info to spammers

DO Not apply for work with Harris Teeter! I applied for a job with them and was forced to do it online. I assumed it would still remain confidential. Wrong! the day after submitting my application I started receiving spam for bogus job openings and they had access to personal info. I am pissed. A job application should only be for the potential employer. I can't believe they would exploit my info and without telling me. I just wanted a job now my personal email account has been compromised, my personal info has been given out and I'm worried my SSN may not be safe either.

The good Columbian dark coffee beans are gone!

Any strong coffee drinkers in northen VA notice that the dark roasted Columbian coffee beans are no longer available? We went to several stores in the Leesburg, Sterling and Reston areas and it's no longer available.

Further, nobody at these stores knows who to ask about it, or why it is no longer available? Not even a phone number was offered, for us to call about this situation. What a shame and a serious loss to us strong coffee drinkers and our European visitors.

Worse, the Harris Teeter they are building in my town (Purcellville) probably won't have it either! Why not?

Store on Dickerson Blvd. Monroe, NC

I 've been going to this store for 5 yrs. They were always pleasant and cooperative.

I always have my wine delivered to me without a problem and always delivered on the same day of purchase. Thursday I bought my wine and was told it couldn't be delivered till 9 o'clock or later I said fine. They never showed. Here it is Saturday and still has not been delivered.

I understand its delivered on their time fine but days!!! I live 5 mins or less from store. Some one always delivered on the same day after they finish their shift. Also they have a new manager and here lies the problem.

I hope I don't run into this the next time I buy wine. Thank you for hearing me vent.

I love this store it has many products that you can't buy in other stores.

RaciaL Profiling store# 201 Central AVe

Followed us around the store and requested our Identification. Then proceded to explain the coupon policy to us and called for security to scan the aisle we were in. Whenwe got to the register they continued to harrass us.

The Manager Mark ridiculed and attempted to degrade us as we checked out.

This is not the fist time this has happened to an consumer, more people need to speak up. Racial Profiling should not be tolerated in this day and age, if it is tolerated then the store needs to be boycotted.

No apology was given after he was given mis-information from the customer service rep.

First of all, I would like to know exactly what was happening when they asked you for your ID and explaining the coupon policy because they usually don't do it for no reason. Also, I can almost guarantee that security scan had nothing to do with you.

The front end is required to do one every 15 minutes and usually make up random "areas" that mean absolutely nothing. Explain your story more before accusing people of stuff like this because to me it just sounds like you got angry at something they did and took it the wrong way.

Very Rude Customer Service and manager

I encountered very rude cashier and manager(the tall black lady) at Harris Teeter store. The manager told me I was using a fraudulent coupon when in fact it's real and I have used it in Target, Gaint and CVS.

(It's a manufacturer coupon mailed directly to me) I was treatednd like a thief with no respect. I checked their coupon policy. They are not honoring their coupon policy.

I hate harris teeter now and will try to shop there as less often as possibl and I hope that manager gets laid off soon!!!!! Her ignorance is making other people's life harder.

I worked at Harris Teeter, got hurt at this company and they refussed to even fill out an accident report. They took away my scheduled hours to work, they refused to give me light duty, even with a drs note.

They refuted my injury, and failed to file a comp claim. I ended up having back surgery and now I have a disability. I filed a comp claim and they refused to help pay thje medical bills. They wronfuly terminated me while still on the comp claim, and ended up having back surgery.

I filed for unemployment and they tried to block that as well. they lost this and the comp claim.

This is a sleezeball, cruel, dispicable sorry excuse for a grocery chain. Any Desenters?

marylittlelambs F

Wrong to commit #1.....The whole grocery store chain doesn't care. Corporate is worse than complaining to the stores. Harris Teeter has lost their small town feel, they are arrogant a-holes!!!!!!!!!

Guest

If you have an issue with the staff at the store, have you attempted to report them to the store manager or corporate. Your complaints will go unheard on just the website.

Sure, it might make other people think twice about shopping in this store inorder to advoid the issues you encountered.

However, the root of the problem, is the individuals you personally encountered. You need to express your concerns to the right people in order to be heard.
